“Bond, Frank Bond”
Movies have spoilt me terribly when it comes to women. I think that the Bond films and their various snow bunnies and double-agents actually made me start skiing. I remember in “The Spy Who Loved Me” and Bibi Dahl’s red cowgirl ski outfit and I knew that I wanted to find more girls like her. Easier said than done but I’m constantly checking out the ski holidays France has, and going. The fact that I don’t have to break the bank is a major bonus.
There’s just something about ladies in ski apparel, with their innate show of sportiness. When women wander around the nearby village after taking a run they exude some subtle confidence that’s incredibly appealing. And even if they never ski or are lousy skiers they could simply walk around in the outfits and that’s good enough for me. The femme fatales with the hooded faux fur coats are my favourites, for sure. With eyes sparkling from happiness and the cold.
I see one brunette in particular and our eyes meet as we each order hot toddies. And when I smile and shes smiles back it’s as if the camera starts rolling and Bond will be around any second to introduce me. She’s incredibly impressed by the company I keep, though she really only has eyes for me.
The fact that James would doubtless steal her away instead of play wingman doesn’t come in to play in my Alpine vision. This is my story, get your own girl, James.
Getting there is Half the Fun
Whenever possible it is nice to plan a vacation well in advance. When the ability to plan is not present, a holiday can get out of synch in a hurry. There are no guarantees when it comes to life so planning a vacation gives us something to look forward to. Having a celebrated event on the horizon is often enough to get us over the hump at work. By focusing on the pending leisure time, we take our minds and our eyes off the immediate presence of work and other responsibilities.
The idea behind planning is to accommodate the need for coverage in our busy lives. Maybe a dog sitter is needed for the time you’ll be away, or perhaps there are elderly parents that will require a look-in while you are out of town. Finishing up last minute projects at work is often a pre-vacation ritual. The feeling of leaving home with everything taken care of elevates the enjoyment potential of the trip.
Sometimes planning is not possible, so a last minute approach is employed. Late holidays often provide a stimulating alternative to the regular pre-planned outing. By maintaining a flexible and spontaneous attitude, travelers are often able to destinations that would not usually draw them in the traditional sense.

Another idea that could come to mind would be a video monitoring camera that will let you know who, what, where and when something is happening around your home. Automated lighting control is great for letting others think that someone is home, where really there isn’t.

Keeping your business Safe
If you are a small business owner, you are a busy person and have many details to deal with each day. You open the shop, you hire and fire employees, keep up on ordering and shipping and somewhere in between, you make sure the cash flow stays steady. You take care of advertising and if you are a one-man shop, you also take care of payroll and the office paperwork, not to mention customer service.
Maybe you have always dreamed of owning your own business and now that you have it, you realize the many details that are involved. You want to keep all your inventory safe and to do that, you can have roller shutters installed for security. This gives you peace of mind knowing the business you have worked so hard to create, is safe and secure behind galvanized steel protection.
It is a sad fact today that we must all do what we can to keep our belongings safe and there are many ways we can go about doing that. From steel shutters for work, bar grilles or window shutters for our home, staying safe is easy. You also get to choose between electric or manually operated shutters.

Volunteer at a Disaster Site
There are many callings in life, and one of the most noble is in the pursuit of aiding fellow humans. There are conditions that arise constantly that require a helping hand from another mate. Natural disasters of various sorts occur each year. Prolonged rainfall has been the source of many disasters including flooding and mudslides. We have all seen the video footage of blokes muddling about in their wellies helping to reign in a disastrous occurrence. It is possible and admirable to be one of those individuals. Various large organizations like the Red Cross exist for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to those who have been impacted by a catastrophic occurrence. These organizations are continually recruiting for individuals willing to step-up in the event of an emergency. By placing yourself on their roles you are vowing to stand at the ready to be of service in the event of a calamity.
Some disasters are water related and provide a seeping and infiltrating threat to homeowners in the affected region. Sandbag crews are operated in the old fire brigade style of passing bags in an efficient manner across men and women standing shoulder to shoulder. The bags are often used to fortify effected areas against further water infiltration. Through the hard work and determination of volunteers, the burden is deflected from those who are suffering from property and sometimes human loss. The resulting accomplishments serve to reinvigorate the volunteers who are able to witness the value of their work firsthand.
Miguel Cotto’s Fans
On the 3rd of December 2011 Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto will meet in Madison Square Garden in New York for the Boxing Super Welterweight WBA World Championship. This is set to be an epic fight between two very famous boxers, who each have a very specific fan base. Margarito has a group of hard core fans, who have stuck by him through controversies over allegations that he had rigged his match against Mosley by lacing his hand bandages with plaster. Cotto, however, is a real superstar, who attracts many new – and young – fans on a daily basis.
Cotto’s fan club is very big, as well as being internationally acclaimed, and is the only official stocker or Cotto novelty items, such as t-shirts, boxing trunks, autographed boxing gloves and pictures, robes and so on. He really is a true superstar, who will gladly spend ages kissing babies and shaking hands with prominent figures for a great photo opportunity. However, even Cotto’s fans admit that he can be a bit of drama queen, and it is felt by those who follow him that a rest of at least 16 months will be well deserved, to rebuild his strength and his mental abilities.
This really does mark the difference between the two fighters: one is the underdog, favoured by those who like to stick up for those who get picked on, the other being Mister Popular, favoured by all those who go for looks and exterior composure. Which one you prefer is, of course, up to you. Miguel Cotto is very likeable, has a good record (both in boxing and in personal life) and is generally a safe bet and likeable figure. Margarito, on the other hand, can be conceived as a cheater but then doesn’t everybody deserve a second chance?

Why Men Like Boxing!
The 12th of November 2011, marks the day of the WBO Boxing Welterweight World Championship between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez that will be taking place in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the wake of this much anticipated fight, you may wonder why men enjoy boxing particularly since many people see it as nothing else than a brutal fight of blood and gore.
Men, however, will tell you that boxing is a sport of discipline and mental strength as well as physical strength, and they do have a point. Training for boxing is incredibly rigorous and you do need an incredible amount of discipline in order to prepare yourself for a boxing match, particularly one of such proportions as the Welterweight World Championship.
Also, the ability to withstand the punches that will be thrown about in that ring without giving up after the first punch to the face requires almost subhuman mental strength.
Of course, the amount of physical strength a boxer needs is phenomenal, and this sort of strength is not born overnight. It takes years of training and grueling hours in the ring, boxing against small bags and little bags, sparring, jumping rope, running and much, much more. Of course, being able to box means you need to have incredibly fast reflexes, which is another thing you will need hours and hours of training for.
In essence, if you ask a man why they enjoy boxing, they will tell you that it is because it is a display of human strength and courage; they will not focus on the underlying barbarity in pummeling your opponent down to the ground, as that is not what drives the sport. Of course, the excitement of this part adds to the overall enjoyment of the sport, but what most men see is the hard work that has gone into preparing for a match.
We suggest that you watch Pacquiao and Marquez live online and you will see why men love boxing!
Cheap Beer and Prohibition in History
No one would ever believe that beer is one of the oldest recipes created. With historical links back to the Egyptians and 5000, B.C. The first beer recipe then called for pomegranates, herbs and dates. The early Egyptians used their version of beer for ceremonial and religious purposes. The pharaoh acted as the brew master creating brewing schedules and managing distribution.
Fast forward to the first colonists of the “New World”. It was the Pilgrims who journaled about landing on Plymouth Rock and being out of beer and needing to make more. It’s been widely documented that one of the first permanent structures at Plymouth Rock was in fact a brewery. By 1810, New York had more than 42 breweries alone. By the 1900s, millions of immigrants new to America drove beer production to an all time high.
And then came the great prohibition which occurred between 1920 to 1933. It became illegal to manufacture, transport, import, export and sell alcoholic beverages. Congress had passed the Volstead Act to enforce prohibition, but many local states were disinterested in enforcing the law. This left an understaffed federal government to go after bootleggers and mobsters alike who had gotten into the moonshine business of manufacturing and selling their own version of cheap beer.
By 1933, the US was going through the great depression. It was the conservative Democrats and Catholics who championed the cause to repeal the Volstead Prohibition act to bring in greater amounts of tax revenue and discourage organize crime activity which soared as a result of alcohol production and sales going underground. At the end of prohibition, cheap liquor became the norm. But not, without dire consequences to the brewing industry. Many breweries during prohibition survived by manufacturing cream soda, ice cream and other sugar malt extracts. After prohibition beers became ever popular, including Budweiser and Schlitz whose sales grew exponentially after the ban was overturned on alcohol production.
